Modern Compassionate Care is an integrative wellness clinic founded by Katie Sullivan, a nurse practitioner, and Beth Lupo, a therapist. We are passionate about approaching health from a holistic, mind-body-spirit perspective. Our philosophy is rooted in trauma-informed care and we believe in client-led healing.  We strive to truly listen to our patients and to collaborate with them to create individualized treatment plans that meet their unique needs and work with their lifestyles.

Since we began our work in 2020, our providers have treated hundreds of medical cannabis patients of all ages with diverse conditions including autism, epilepsy, arthritis, chronic pain, neurologic conditions, cancer, HIV, gastrointestinal disorders, sleep issues, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.  We assist patients to become certified cannabis patients in the state of Illinois and consult with people nationwide on using cannabis to manage complex and chronic health issues. Whether you are brand-new to plant medicine or an experienced patient, we are here to help you increase your knowledge and improve your results.  

Last year, we added mental health services to meet the needs of our community.  Modern Compassionate Care now offers individual therapy, as well as couples and family counseling, both in our Chicago office and virtually through our secure platform.  In 2023, we developed and launched an innovative ketamine assisted therapy program to allow our patients to access psychedelic treatment for mental health conditions and chronic pain.
