Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy: Intramuscular Treatment

Prior to receiving intramuscular (IM) ketamine, you will need to complete a medical evaluation and intake, as well as 1-3 preparation sessions with one of our certified KAP therapists,  During these visits, we will educate you on treatment benefits and risks, collaborate with you on a treatment plan, and prepare you about what to expect during and after your ketamine experience. Treatment plans are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients, ensuring personalized care and optimal results.  

During your visit to our clinic, you can expect a comprehensive experience that prioritizes your well-being.   Our highly trained medical professionals administer ketamine in a safe and comfortable setting.  You will receive a single intramuscular injection in one of your arms, which starts to take effect within minutes. Your therapist will be by your side for the entire experience to support you with their presence and to provide aftercare. Your appointment will last about 2 hours, which includes time for the medication session, along with pre-treatment assessments, post-treatment monitoring, and debriefing with your therapist..

During treatment planning, you will schedule a series of follow-up sessions with your therapist in order to assure your integration of the experience. For most patients, we recommend an initial series of IM treatments, accompanied by ongoing integration and subsequent booster sessions for maintenance.
